Mahan’s philosophy is bold yet tender: art should not be confined to the sterile walls of galleries. Instead, it should pulse within the spaces we inhabit, in the homes where we dream, and in the architecture that holds us.

His recent works—art-furniture that transcends utility are a testament to this vision. These creations are not merely functional; they are poems etched in form, whispers of nature molded into tangible intimacy. Through his work, Mahan invites us to step beyond the mundane and into the sacred. His sculptures are not mere objects; they are living, breathing entities fragments of the natural world that echo the mysteries of existence.

Mehdi Mahan, a visionary sculptor and interdisciplinary artist, was born in the ancient land of Iran and now breathes life into his creations from his studio in California. With roots in cinema and photography, Mahan’s journey into the realm of sculpture began as an evolution—a metamorphosis that merged his technical mastery with an unyielding quest for the sublime. Inspired by the fleeting beauty of the Japanese Wabi-Sabi philosophy, the timeless soul of Iran’s rock-hewn villages like Meymand, and the surreal landscapes of Cappadocia, Mahan sculpts with the hand of an artist and the soul of a poet. His designs embody imperfection, asymmetry, and the quiet elegance of organic shapes, each piece an homage to the harmony of chaos and the poetry of the incomplete.
